It is with great pleasure that I bring you the December 2011 Artists of the Month, the children from the St Catharine’s Beyond Montessori’s summer art camp program.
Pam Maw, the teacher at the camp, invited me to come out and film some of her amazing artists friends. Without a second’s thought I agreed to feature these beautiful, talented souls here at ITN.
Each and everyday I am amazed at the inherent wisdom that children possess. I listen very closely to my own daughter for guidance and lessons each and everyday. I hope that we all learn that the true masters and teachers are our children. They hold within them every lesson we as adults need to learn on our path to development. I guarantee you if you are looking for a spiritual journey you need look no further than your child for lessons in patience, sacrifice, unconditional love, devotion, joy, happiness etc etc…. So often the wisest are pushed aside as we look for adult company and conversation. Hats off to each of those amazing little artists out there that see a universe in a page of scribbles, that see a bouquet of flowers in splattered paint and that know expression through art is healing, soothing and inspiring.
Thank you to Pam Maw for inviting me to Beyond Montessori, I had a delightful visit and felt blessed to meet such a beautiful group of talented artists.
